News & Updates

  • ServiceNow — Our team is excited to announce a new online ticketing system. The new system is built on the ServiceNow platform, and has been customized specifically for the needs within the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM). There are several expected benefits of this system, including:
    • Integration with ISS  — The DGSOM version of ServiceNow is fully integrated with ISS and tickets can be transferred behind the scenes so that they aren’t “closed” before being resolved.
    • Online Status Tracking — Ticket status can be viewed online so that you know what the IT team is doing to resolve your support request.
    • Communication Log — Any communications to/from our team will be tracked in the ServiceNow system so that IT staff and customers always know the full history of a ticket.
    • E-mail Created Tickets — Requests to our team submitted via valid Mednet e-mail will automatically open a ticket in ServiceNow so that you enjoy all the benefits of ServiceNow.
    • Non-Mednet Access — Users without Mednet e-mail addresses will also be able to utilize the system to submit requests as well (submission through valid UCLA e-mail is preferred when possible).
